Biography
Hee-Joon Kim is an Associate Professor in the Toyohashi University of Technology in the Department of Ecological Engineering. He heads a laboratory in the Department which undertakes research in coal combustion and different aspects of biomass and biocoal briquetting. He graduated from The University of Tokyo in 1992 with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. After graduation he worked there as Assistant Professor from 1992-1994. He moved to Toyohashi University of Technology in April 1994 in the Graduate School of Engineering. He has to his credit, many patents and papers on biobriquetting and coal combustion technology. He was one of the principal collaborators in biocoal briquetting projects in China.
