Ahmed is regional advisor for South-South cooperation for the Arab States, Division for Arab states, Europe and CIS UNOSSC, with more than 25 years of experiences as strategic development planner, development cooperation, institutional sustainability, development effectiveness and coordination and resources mobilization. Ahmed’s experiences have been gained through continuous interactions with various UN specialized agencies and civil service as well as INGOs, culminating with his current position with UNOSSC. He served as consultant on SSC and aid effectiveness with the UNRC office in Sudan. Ahmed’s represented his country as civil servant and diplomat 2005 to 2010 to Belgium and EU in Brussels. Ahmed holds degrees from University of Khartoum and Master’s degree in International Politics from the European Centre for International Researches & Strategies & U of Paris ii-CERIS, Brussels.
