Biography

Katherine Farrar is a visiting research scholar at San Francisco State University. She taught weekly laboratory sessions for undergraduate nursing students and science majors in human anatomy, microbiology, and general biology. While teaching introductory biology labs I developed new course material to aid in student preparation and learning, including pre-lab assignments, in-class assignments, writing reflections, and a scientific writing peer-review workshop. I also assisted in re-writing the laboratory manual for introductory Human Anatomy Lab to emphasize learning objectives and align the material with the available models.
